Mrs. Nance's 8th grade Math class

Hello, I am Karen Nance and I teach 8th grade math.  Jr. High is where I like to be and Danforth is the best!

I didn't start as a math teacher.  I have a degree in accounting from Texas State University, (Go Bobcats!), and worked in that industry full and part time for many years. I decided to make the change to teaching later in my adult life and have had a great time learning the art of teaching and enjoying the results when I see a successful, happy student. Increasing student confidence and skills in math and then seeing that smile that says, "I can do this," is the best reward.  I am passionate about education because it opens doors in a person's life that may otherwise be closed.

My husband, Thad, and I have two sons and have lived in Wimberley for 21 years.  Both of our sons graduated from Wimberley ISD and have moved on to further their education.

Wimberley is an awesome place to live and being Texan fans is a fun part of our life in Wimberley.

Texans make the world a better place!
