This is my 11th year here at the Jr. High as an administrator, but it’s my 18th year here in this school district. Here in Wimberley we are blessed to have great parent support for our student population. Combine that with our amazing staff and it makes Wimberley Jr. High a great place to work.
Overall, this is my 33rd year in Education. After graduating from Abilene Christian University in 1985 I started my career in Pecos, Texas. I taught history and was the head tennis coach for my first 11 years at Pecos High School. From 1996 to 2000 I was a teacher and the head tennis coach at Dripping Springs High School. In 2000 I completed my Master’s and Mid-Management Certification and became an administrator and the head tennis coach for Wimberley. I continued in those two roles through the spring of 2013. After 28 years of coaching tennis I have “retired” from that role but continue to work as an administrator.
My wife, Dee Howard, and I have been married for 32 years. Both of our children have graduated from Wimberley High School and later on college. Our son Matt and his wife Julie live in San Antonio. Our daughter Sara and her husband Billy Jack live in Waco. We have 7 grandchildren.
