Hi. I'm Kim Martinez. I am originally from Baton Rouge, LA and I graduated from Louisiana State University. Geaux Tigers! My teaching certifications are in Secondary Spanish and English as a Second Language as well as Elementary Education. I taught Spanish at Slidell High School in Louisiana for 1 year and spent 2 years teaching ESL at El Paso High School. I moved to Wimberley in 1991 and taught 2nd grade at Kyle Elementary for 5 years. I spent several years as a "stay-at-home" mom with my 2 daughters: Mila is a senior and Emma is a freshman at WHS. Four years ago, WISD hired me as a part-time aide for the ESL program. This is my 2nd year to teach Spanish and ESL; I am still an ESL aide during first and second periods. I am happy to be a part of WISD and look forward to having a great year with the students. Go Texans!
