Marie Bernick - Math

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!

This will be my 6th year teaching at Danforth Junior High and 10th year teaching overall. What I love most about DJH is how truly dedicated all the administration, teachers, staff, and students are to making each and every day better than the one before.

I am from Brenham,Texas, where I attended Blinn College. I graduated from Texas State University (San Marcos), in December 2007, with a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. My teaching certificates are in the areas of Math 4-8, Generalist EC-6, Special Education EC-12, and ESL (Supplemental). I have taught students of all ages, from Pre-K through age 22.

I am a certified bowling coach for Special Olympics Texas, and a track/field Volunteer. WISD has an amazing, growing delegation of coaches, volunteers, athletes, families, and other supporters!

At home I have 3 dogs, Watson, Penny, and Lucy, and a cat, Bob. When I'm not teaching I enjoy cooking new recipes and watching TV. My favorite TV genres are cooking/food, crime/mystery, and medical shows.

AFTERNOON TUTORIALS- Let me know to expect you after school! Often there are meetings or teachers I need to see after school, and I may not be in my classroom. If I know to expect you, I will be there.

Read over the class syllabus. Check SKYWARD and Google Classroom regularly for additional class information, updates, and last minute memos.

It's going to be a fantastic year!
